These are pictures from the first ever San Anseline Labor Day Block Party.
It was such a full day and everyone had a blast!
| The bike parade is about to begin. |
| Luke really wanted to ride this little trike so that he could match Graham. Unfortunately it's really slowing him down and he's getting passed up by Graham who is absolutely delighted that he gets to ride on a decorated bike...and in the street!! |
| Luke looking very patriotic. |
| Laura Spears getting all artsy in her photography took this picture of Faye's foot. I love it. |
| Faye looking very patriotic as well. |
| Willis and Judy. All the kids call Willis "Pappy". |
| Graham won an award for his bike decorating and got a coloring book and a blue ring pop! |
| I know it's not the best picture, but I'll take anything . Being the one that normally takes the pictures I don't get on the blog that much. Thanks Laura Spears! |
| Laura and Faye |
| Water balloon toss: Peter and I got second place. |
| Graham was really bummed because HE wanted to be in the balloon toss. |
| Next we had a donut eating contest. The kids are supposed to eat their donut without using their hands. |
| Luke loves this game! |
| And they're off! |
| "NO hands" is not working for Graham |
| Luke is doing great AND following the rules! |
| Finishing every last bite.... |
| Donut crumbs, ring pop stains...Graham is a happy guy! |
| Peter, Faye, Luke, Jaden, and Fernando |
| Faye made many new little girl friends. |
| Luke drew up a new game and homemade card pieces to go with it, including the "mommy", "daddy", and "rattlesnake". He had many details that I can't totally remember, but I know the blue part of the chalk drawing is water and if you fall in you will get eaten by sharks. Luke is explaining the game thoroughly. |
| Jaden, Petra,Peter, Luke, "Friend Luke", and Graham |
| Jaden eating a cupcake cone. |
| Someone called the cops on us and the police made us take down our baracades (the party was almost done already anyways). The cops were nice about it and didn't fine us. All in all in was a great day. We got to meet more neighbors, get to no ones that we already knew more, and the kids had so much fun together. It's definitely worth all the work. |
| Liz getting some final laughs out of Faye. |
